Workshops

Join us for collaborative workshops as we  prepare a multimedia story quilt showcase celebrating the All Pikes Peak Reads 2015 novel The Invention of Wings by Sue Monk Kidd.

Workshops dates and locations:
Saturday February 28th 11am-1pm DTS Student Lounge
Tuesday March 10th  11am-1pm RRC W-119 Conference Rm
Wednesday March 18th 5pm-7pm CC Writing Center

What are the workshops?
Representatives from the Writing Center, Literature and History faculty, and PPCC's Reference Librarian will co-host any and all interested in coming together to work and share projects connected to the APPR story quilt project. In these workshops, we hope you will:
  • Explore storytelling through fiction, poetry, visual art, dance, and music.
  • Spark your creativity in a community of artists.
  • Find inspiration in Wings  and tell your own story.
  • Develop work to submit for the showcase.
  • Stay for tie-in film series and snacks.

You do not have to participate in workshops to submit to the story contest, nor do you have to submit work in order to participate in the workshops, though we encourage you to do both!
